The bedroom is normally most personal part of a home, so we want to make it feel like a place that you can see yourself sleeping or waking in. We achieve this by planning camera angles, detailing for realism and lighting with mood. We like to have a camera angle that shows an approach to the bed and possibly a window or balcony behind it. And we prefer to lighting to depict either sleeping or waking time, so a soft touch of moonlight sneaking past the drapes is often perfect.

The most difficult item to model in a bedroom Computer Generated Image is the bedding and pillows. They need to be soft and flowing with small imperfections, wrinkles and bumps. The difficulty comes in that computers are best at straight lines and regular curves, so a wavy, irregular, almost organic shape is harder to create. The reduced location and photography costs make simple 2D backgrounds appealing for still Pieces of 3D Art . But when used in animations a 2D image doesn’t show any motion with the camera. If a virtual reality camera changes viewpoint it will become apparent that the backdrop is merely a flat billboard effect.

The costs to acquire 360-degree panoramic images are higher than normal photography due to additional time, extra equipment and further manipulation in the studio. This technique yields the best quality result for animations as the view adjusts to the aspect of the virtual camera.
