The scenes are then decorated with small items like pictures, plants and household items. Illumination is then added with detail to realism, effect and highlights.

Architectural Renderings of Living Room Scenes

Grand salons and lounge rooms are the most intensive scenes to create within an apartment, condominium or house. They are the focus of every day living and contain more varied elements than other rooms. There are so many possibilities within these rooms so they are often the hardest for a designer to explain and detail in a brief.

Furniture and accessories can also be painstaking to model in these rooms. Pieces such as lounge chairs, sofas and other furniture with soft curves and complex fabric textures can be difficult to model perfectly. And items such as light fittings and window treatments can also be extremely time consuming.

But despite the complexity, these scenes can be exciting for the 3D Artist. This is in the flexibility that the 3D Artist often has for small decoration and the minute details that complete a scene. A book, candle, rose or pillow in the right place and tell a small story on it’s own.

Creating Bedrooms as 3D Architectural Renderings

To us a bedroom rendering must feel like a place you could wake up and sleep in, so we pursue this when we commence modelling and setting out the space. To achieve this we work with the Camera Angles, the small details and the lighting. We like to have a camera angle that shows an approach to the bed and possibly a window or balcony behind it. We like to create an ambience to the scene that resembles soft morning light or a romantic night.

The bedding and pillows are the hardest thing to create in a bedroom 3D Rendering . They must show the same softness, wrinkles and bumps that a real bed has. 3D Modelling and CAD is best at straight edges and regular curves, so a finished bed is more difficult to produce than most other household items. Aside from the complexity of the 3D Modelling, applying the textures and fabrics to the bed can be challenging if there is a pattern that must be maintained over the flowing 3D Mesh.
