3D Architectural Renderings of Interiors

Archiform 3D's careful and meticulous approach to interior Architectural Renderings gives a life-like result. Each item of furniture is carefully modelled in 3D from pictures or catalogues and includes representations of original fabric samples. Smaller items like pictures, curtains, vases and decorator items are then added to the scene. After the major furniture and small accessories are added we carefully illuminate the scene for effect and realism.

Creating Bedrooms as 3D Images

Our goal with bedroom renderings is to create a room that you can imagine yourself really sleeping and waking in. We do this by working on the Camera Angle, the realism and the lighting. The viewer should see a familiar approach to the room and bed, with possibly something appealing, like a balcony, window or an inspiring view. And we like the lighting to show either a place to go to sleep or wake up; night-time or morning time.

The most difficult item to model in a bedroom 3D Image is the bedding and pillows. They must have the imperfections and softness that a real bed has, right down to bumps and wrinkles. This becomes difficult in that computers and 3D software are best at straight edges and normal curves, so a free form, almost organic shape is harder to model. The 3D Modelling is not the only complex task as applying the fabrics to the bed can be challenging, especially if there is a pattern or mural that must be maintained.

Incorporating Real Views with Architectural Renderings

This 3D Rendering has the actual view from the project, which is a perfect way of displaying what a purchaser of a pre-construction condo, office or home will actually see. There are two methods to achieve this; as a flat 2D image applied to the background or as a 360-degree panoramic photograph wrapped around like a drum. The two techniques affect the overall price to do the job, not in 3D Rendering costs but in acquiring the views.

A flat 2D background costs less to prepare and is best suited to still Architectural Renderings . But when used in fly-through video a 2D backdrop doesn’t show any movement with the 3D Camera. If the viewpoint changes in any direction the view doesn’t change, which is not a visually appealing result.

The 360-degree panoramic method costs more in location and photography, as each shot is a complete view in all the horizontal directions. This technique yields the best best quality result for 3D Animations as the view adjusts to the aspect of the Virtual Camera.
