Interior 3D Renderings

With immaculate and life-like imagery, Archiform 3D's approach to interior 3D Renderings and video pushes the limitations of technology. Each item of furniture is carefully modelled in 3D from pictures or catalogues and includes representations of original fabric samples. Decorator and accessories are also modelled in 3D and distributed carefully throughout the rooms. Lighting is then added with attention to realism, shadowing and highlights.

The thoughtful combination of these skills often give 3D Renderings that are better looking than real photographs. It is good to know that our 3D Animations are done to the same Photo-Perfect quality as our still 3D Renderings .

3D Renderings of Bedroom Scenes

Our aim with bedroom scenes is to create a place in 3D that you could imagine yourself really sleeping in. We achieve this by planning Camera Angles, detailing for realism and lighting with mood. We like to have a camera angle that shows an approach to the bed and possibly a window or balcony behind it. Many clients would conclude that night illumination is always best, but the soft morning sun gleaming on the floor can describe a home that is a new awakening.

The most complex thing to create in a bedroom 3D Rendering is the bed and pillows. They must show the same softness, wrinkles and bumps that a real bed has. This becomes difficult in that computers and 3D software are best at straight edges and normal curves, so a free form, almost organic shape is harder to model. Applying the fabrics to the bed linen can also be challenging as they often form part of a large overall pattern.

Real Views in 3D Scenes

This 3D Rendering has the actual view from the project, which is a perfect way of displaying what a purchaser of a pre-construction condo, office or home will actually see. We can do this in 2 ways; a flat 2D image applied behind the 3D Scene or a 360-degree image wrapped around the 3D Model. Both techniques have their advantages.

A flat 2D image put into the background is the easiest to do, as it is one shot that can be taken in many different ways and often costs less due to reduced location costs. But when used in walk-through video a 2D backdrop doesn’t show any movement with the 3D Camera. If a Virtual Reality camera changes viewpoint it will become apparent that the backdrop is merely a flat billboard effect.

The 360-degree panoramic method costs more in location and photography, as each shot is a complete view in all the horizontal directions. This method gives the best result for 3D Animations as when the Virtual Camera turns the view adjusts accordingly. Archiform 3D is often engaged to take the panoramic shots as we have the equipment and cameras necessary.
