3D Renderings of Interior Scenes

Archiform 3D's approach to interior 3D Renderings gives a detailed and life-like result. Each piece of furniture is carefully modelled from originals and includes original fabric samples. Smaller items like pictures, curtains, vases and decorator items are then added to the scene. After the furniture and accessories are added we carefully light the scene for mood and effect.

The carefull combining of these skills often give 3D Renderings that are more appealing than actual photographs. What is noteworthy is that we create walk-through animations of interior scenes to the same quality as our 3D Renderings .

How We Create 3D Renderings of Bedrooms

To us a bedroom scene must look like somewhere you could sleep in, so we aim for this when we first begin 3D modelling and laying out the room. We do this by working on the Camera Angle, the realism and the lighting. The viewer should see a familiar approach to the room and bed, with possibly something appealing, like a balcony, window or an inspiring view. We like to create an ambience to the scene that resembles soft morning light or a romantic night.

The soft parts of a bed such as the covers and pillows are the most painstaking items to model in a bedroom 3D Rendering or animation. The soft irregularities and softness of a real bed need to be replicated.Computer 3D Modelling is best at straight shapes or regular curves, so a finished bed is harder to create than most other pieces of furniture. Aside from the complexity of the 3D Modelling, applying the textures and fabrics to the bed can be challenging if there is a pattern that must be maintained over the flowing 3D Mesh.

Real Views in 3D Scenes

This scene has the real view from the actual project, which is a superb way of displaying what a buyer will actually see from a new condo, office or home. We can do this in 2 ways; a flat 2D image applied behind the 3D Scene or a 360-degree image wrapped around the 3D Model. Both techniques have advantages and disadvantages, ranging from a lower price to a better result in 3D Animations.

A simple 2D photographic background costs less to capture and is suited to still 3D Renderings . Unfortunately using this method means the view cant move with the 3D Camera if you wish to animate the scene. If a Virtual Reality camera changes viewpoint it will become apparent that the backdrop is merely a flat billboard effect.

The 360-degree panoramic method costs more in location and photography, as each shot is a complete view in all the horizontal directions. This method gives the best result for 3D Animations as when the Virtual Camera turns the view adjusts accordingly. Archiform 3D is often engaged to take the panoramic shots as we have the equipment and cameras necessary.
