Computer animations of apartments and condos
This is the most popular form of 3D animation that we
are approached with. Apartments and condominium units are
the real product for a property developer or realtor and
are also the hardest for a buyer to visualize.
Plans vs Computer animation
We all know
that for most buyers normal sales plans are not enough.
And the importance of this is clouded by our own perception,
which is not accurate considering that you (the reader
of this) and I (the writer) have been in this field long
enough that we can read plans easily and instantly. Buyers
don't like to admit it but they struggle following line
drawings and architectural plans are a complete waste of
time.
3D imagery allows a realistic view to be portrayed to
a buyer. Computer animation takes it a step further and
the viewer actually moves within the scene.
As of 2007 Archiform 3D now offers computer animated 3D
floor plans too, which are a perfect transition between
2D and 3D.
3D renderings vs animations
Architectural renderings actually come before the animations.
All of your proof 3D images are produced well before we
animate. We actually give you these architectural renderings
for free, which sets us aside from many companies.
But still images have limitations too. They are easier
to follow than plans but the average buyer cant actually
relate how they fit with the plan or their lifestyle. They
have no real perception of space. This is where 3D animated
scenes come into their own.
A 3D animated presentation moves through the apartment
or condo. Our presentations are set to follow how a viewer
would actually want to look at the scene. We "Meander"
through the scene, often pausing to admire views and features. The
buyer can make an attachment to the design and have a full
understanding of it. They can now feel comfortable in the
purchase.
