3D has released an architectural challenge for the Cinema
4D community
Archiform 3D, a specialist in digital media
for the real estate property development, architectural and
design industry is offering a challenge to the Cinema 4D community
by commencing a progressive series of architectural model
downloads. Over the months it is anticipated that almost every
form of architecture will be represented as a Cinema 4D
model for free download by the online 3D community.
Aimed at students and aspiring freelancers,
Archiform 3D hopes to raise awareness within this field and
discover new talent in the industry to help with outsourcing
and contracting requirements. Being an international organization,
Archiform 3D seeks to build a strong network of the best quality
artists to help with the growing load of architectural projects
that they procure. While there is no shortage of outsourcing
companies that are now aggressively prospecting work, Archiform
3D is looking to "sort the chaff from the wheat" and get the
best quality applicants only.
In the past Archiform 3D has procured
it's best staff members by laying down 3D challenges.
Typically, architectural 3D has been done
by 3D Studio Max, but we find that Cinema 4D is an attractive
alternative, a view that is being adopted by many other companies.
"We have always been know as the rule breakers and ones on
the edge. But we don't do this for the sake of be recalcitrant,
we do it because we see an edge that we can gain by working
outside of the square" says Steve Bell, chief of Archiform
3D. "Cinema 4D offers many advantages that people overlook".

Archiform 3D stands by the fact that Cinema
4D's early adaptation on Apple Computer's Mac OSX allowed an
immediate advantage in detailed
3D landscaping, which is extremely
memory intensive. While most 3D applications were getting out
of memory errors Cinema 4D allowed Archiform 3D to approach
new levels in realism and quality while also allowing workstations
to run smoothly and responsively.
