Archiform
3D reaffirms it's architect, designer and advertising
agency alliance
Archiform 3D, a specialist in digital media
for the real estate property development, architectural and
design industry, has affirmed it's alliance to architects,
designers and interior
designers by outlining stronger services
and helpful guides. It is our aim to make the process of photo-perfect 3D presentations easy and fast from a design point of view.
While some Architects do a limited amount
of 3D work they cannot achieve perfection on demand, and this
is where we are often called in to help out. Interior designers
often have no access to 3D renderings and resort to hand drawn
sketches, which is often misunderstood by clients, so we have
given them a fast service that they can work with easily.
Non-Competition strategy
Unlike some 3D artwork and/or scale model
production companies, Archiform 3D does not offer anything
other that it's digital media services. This is extremely important
to companies that seek to give us work and not have
valuable client data lost to a potential competitor. There
are 3D companies that now offer interior
and architectural design and drafting, which is in direct competition
with those that may be feeding them work or working with them
indirectly.
For example, if a designer or architect passes
work onto a 3D company they
are also passing on the project's details, which if used by
a potential competitor may not affect that precise project
but gives an unfair insight into the next. We consider such
actions a complete abuse of client trust so guarantee that
Archiform 3D will not compete or
enter the architectural design, interior design or drafting
industry. This is a promise.
"You cant tell people in this industry that
you want their work and then try to compete with them too.
No matter how well you sugar coat it, people aren't that stupid",
says Steve Bell.
The architectural insight
Creating 3D architectural and interior artwork
requires similar if not the same skills as those that create
the designs. It's how we can interpret the plans, sketches
and ideas. But utilizing these skills for competition within
the design industry is simply not our plan.
Steve Bell, once a designer of luxury homes
including many high-profile residences in Australia, knows
the value of maintaining clients and sustaining working relationships.
"The last thing that designers and architects need is
to have a company that they recommend to a client become competition
on any level" says Bell. "We feel you have to be
one or the other in this field:- a competitor or an ally. We
are here to help architects and designers, not try to take
the food from their mouths".
Advertising agencies
The same strategy that we apply to architects
and designers has also been utilized for advertising agencies.
Some 3D artwork companies are branching into advertising agency
services or are even owned by advertising agencies. This creates
the same problem as does the conflict with architects and designers,
whereas an advertising agency can lose valuable client data
due to unknowingly giving is away to a competitor.
Archiform 3D is regularly engaged by advertising
agencies for a wide range of services, which extend from high-resolution
3D images to video
production, TV commercials and web
design.
Making it easier for Designers
Archiform 3D publishes guidelines, which
are updated regularly to accommodate new information and questions,
ensuring the process is kept easy, and was one of the very
first to publish it's workflow process with tips on how to
improve both quality and timing from a client's perspective.
This has been copied many times, but one must
wonder whether it is best to deal with the innovator
in client service within the 3D industry or with an imitator.
Archiform 3D urges all companies to carefully
choose who they deal with and ensure that they are not paying
for or educating future competitors.
