In 2006, Archiform was proud to contribute to a design concept and proposal for the development of Harry's Island, a world-class resort experience on the island of Sentosa, Singapore. The theme of the design was based on a fictitious character named Harry, an adventurous and sophisticated traveler, and was designed to be both abstract and organic in its architecture. The centerpiece of the development was a huge caldera, which served as the focal point of the resort.
Our team, led by Stephen Bell, spent considerable time in Singapore capturing the project on camera and video. This included unique location shoots that were captured using equipment and parts sourced on the fly. Despite being a favorite among the public, a more conservative proposal was ultimately chosen. Nonetheless, the team at Archiform is proud of the work we did on this project and the impact it had on the design community in Singapore.
